Springtime Solos - Devon
Day 1 - Board yur holiday coach to head southwest with suitable refreshment stops en-route to arrive at your hotel in central Exeter with time to freshen up before dinner. Check in for 4 nights with porterage on arrival. DBBA fun quiz will be distributed today which you may like to complete (either on your own or perhaps team up with a fellow traveller) for a chance to win a £20 Crusader Holidays voucher. Day 2 - 4 - At leisure with two included excursions and a discovery day in Exeter

Exeter Discovery Day - Walking Tour, Cathedral & Cream Tea
Exeter pre-dates the arrival of the Romans in AD 50 and as you stroll around the city with your 'Red Coat' local guide, you will discover Exeter's long, rich and sometimes turbulent history from the Romans through to WW2. After the 90-minute walking tour, enjoy time at leisure to explore on your own. Perhaps head to the West Quarter or the cobbled Gandy Street to discover a great mix of independent shops and boutiques, cafes and bars or maybe the historic quayside, one of the city's most attractive areas. This afternoon, step inside Exeter Cathedral for an included visit and tour to reveal one thousand years of wonder - from the nave and quire ceiling, the longest continuous medieval stone vault in the world, to the Great East Window, with glass dating back to 1304. Truly one of Europe's most magnificent cathedrals, your guide will help you to explore amazing architecture, clandestine corners and hidden histories. Later enjoy a delicious Devoncream tea in the Cathedral Café
Sidmouth
Head to the stately resort of Sidmouth, a seaside town like no other, for a slice of old England with its Regency history, award-winning beaches, majestic red cliffs and elegant buildings. Poet Laureate, John Betjeman, described the town as being caught in timeless charm, after he was captivated by its beautiful gardens, leisurely walks, clean beaches and Regency history. The friendly faces, fresh air, lovely scenery and abundance of attractions make Sidmouth a wonderful place to recharge the batteries
Knightshayes & Tiverton
Discover Knightshayes today with its great post-war garden and 19th-century parkland of hidden glades and far-reaching views. The 'gothic revival' Knightshayes mansion house is a rare example of the genius of William Burges and the complete country gentleman's dream - full of quirks and curiosities. Its opulent designs are guaranteed to inspire extremes of opinion, and the Victorian walled kitchen garden is one of the best in the country. Knightshayes is truly one of the finest gardens in the Southwest with formal terraces, intimate garden rooms, and the remarkable Garden in the Wood which transforms beautifully in the spring. On your way back to Exeter, pop into Tiverton, brimming with history and heritage, and discover a great selection of unique independent shops and boutiques. Local traders sell regional produce and handmade treasures at Tiverton Pannier market (open on a Tuesday until 15.00)
