Among the 60 different species, one of the top highlights is the Project Polar, home to 'The Boys', 6 majestic, fascinating and playful Polar Bears each with its own unique personality and story. You'll also find magnificent African Lions in the 7-acre Lion Country, a family of Californian sea lions in the largest purpose-built habitat of its kind in the world plus a 300-metre raised walkway above Land of the Tigers. Other beasts to look out for include rhinos, giraffes, red pandas, leopards, monkeys, lemurs, zebras and many more! The adjacent Yorkshire Hive complex provides an exciting and diverse atmosphere that's worlds away from the traditional high street with over 20 independent shops, boutiques, and eateries. From locally-crafted gifts to one-of-a-kind fashion finds, the shops offer a refreshing alternative to mainstream retail. If you leave the park during the day, re-entry later is possible - just check with the ticket office as last (re-)entry time applies

Medieval York
Wrap up warm for a visit to magnificent York, the beautiful compact riverside city famous for its Roman, Viking and Medieval heritage dating back 2000 years. Within the ancient walls and twisting atmospheric streets you will find an array of sights to discover such as the iconic York Minster and a host of museums, shops, charming tea rooms and traditional pubs. Be sure to visit the Shambles, one of York's most famous landmarks and one of the best-preserved medieval shopping streets in Europe, with its cobbled streets and overhanging buildings. Entrance is included to the unique Jorvik Viking Centre, the excellent heritage attraction which brings 10th century York to life. The ride experience takes you through the reconstructed city of Jorvik filled with 360-degree views allowing you to become fully immersed in the Viking Age.
