REVISED INCLUDED EXCURSION FOR 2027 Step into a reinvented castle that blends Victorian splendour with a modern outlook in the heart of rural Warwickshire. Curating over 190 years of history, Studley Castle’s story began in 1834 when Francis Lyttleton Holyoake, High Sheriff of Warwickshire, enlisted architect Samuel Beazley to design it and lavish it with Gothic Revival architecture. It was a grand family home for 70 years, then a women’s agricultural college and training camp for the Women’s Land Army during the two World Wars. In 2006, the building was converted to a country hotel and then later acquired by Warner Hotels who undertook an ambitious transformation. Now a beautiful destination hotel, it is the perfect setting for a quality break where you can relax in the award-winning spa, unwind in the serene lounges, enjoy showstopping entertainment and exceptional activities. There’s so much to do and so many ways to do nothing at all.

Museum of Royal Worcester & Worcester
The Museum of Royal Worcester is located on the former Worcester Porcelain Factory site and boasts the world’s largest collection of Royal Worcester Porcelain. Learn about 250 years of ceramic design, skill and innovation through the extraordinary story behind Britain's most famous porcelain, which was granted a royal warrant in 1788. With an included talk, discover tales of the workers and artists who skilfully made the objects and the celebrity customers who enjoyed them. There are interactive displays and see some of the earliest porcelain made in England and iconic objects like Admiral Lord Nelson’s breakfast teapot, and the famous Evesham oven-to-tableware.

The remainder of the day is at leisure for you to explore Worcester, one of the oldest cities in the country, with evidence of settlements dating back to 700BC. The city was fortified in Saxon times and the rich history is still visible today, from cobbled Tudor streets to elegant Queen Anne architecture. The street layout hasn’t changed since the Middle Ages, and you can visit the remnants of the once majestic city walls and walk paths trodden by Romans. Dramatic Worcester Cathedral rises out of the city landscape, alongside Britain’s longest river, the River Severn. It houses Royal tombs, as well as the tomb of three-time Prime Minister Stanley Baldwin; the only Prime Minister to have ever served under three monarchs.
OPTIONAL EXCURSION
Stratford-upon-Avon
Head to historic Stratford-upon-Avon and stroll along the charming streets lined with independent boutiques and gift shops or perhaps along the banks of the River Avon and watch the swans glide by. You may like to visit Shakespeare’s Birthplace (entrance not included – approx. £27 pp in 2026 – pre-booking may be required) where you can walk in the playwright's famous footsteps, exploring his childhood home, hear tales of his family life, and learn about life as a glove maker's son in an Elizabethan market town.
Day 5 – After breakfast, it’s time to head home with a stop at the popular Bicester Avenue Garden Centre before heading onwards to interchange and your home- towns.

Studley Castle offers incredible architecture, beautiful surroundings and more than a touch of luxury. A 19th century Grade II listed castle hotel with majestic stonework, castle turrets and intricate stained glass, Studley also has a 21st century outlook with outstanding facilities, comfort and style.
There is an indoor heated pool, bubble pool, sauna and steam at The Stables Spa.
The Evesham Bar is open from noon til late and the cabaret restaurant transforms into the show lounge in the evening. There are some delightful public areas where you can sit and relax including the Garden Room, the historic Oak Room and the Arden Terrace and the castle is surrounded by lush lawns.
Guestrooms are located in the brand-new Studley wing and are classically decorated with WiFi, tea / coffee making facilities, hairdryer, in-room safe, TV and iron / ironing board. There is a lift
