Itinerary

DAY 1 - From your chosen joining point your feeder vehicle will take you to your designated interchange point where your holiday begins. After joining your holiday coach, head to Witney for a stop at Cogges Manor Farm to explore 1000 years of history with its 13th century grand Manor House, a beautifully preserved collection of heritage Cotswold stone farm buildings, a spectacular walled garden and a tranquil orchard. Cogges has featured as a film location for Downton Abbey, notably as Yew Tree Farm in series 4 - 5. There are plenty of friendly farm animals as well as a tea room. Continue your journey to arrive at 4 Cheltenham Chase Hotel & Spa (June) or 4 Walton Hall Hotel & Spa by Sunday (August) later on for the next 3 nights DBB

DAY 2 - 3 - At leisure with two included excursions

BATSFORD ARBORETUM, MORETON-IN-MARSH & STOW-ON-THE-WOLD
Enjoy a visit to Batsford Arboretum, home to a unique collection of some of the world's most beautiful and rare trees, shrubs and bamboos spread across 60 acres of wild gardens, paths and streams. A haven for plant lovers, Batsford is the perfect place for a gentle stroll, a browse in the garden centre & gift shop or a cuppa in the café. NB The Arboretum is planted on a south-facing slope which means some parts may present some access challenges. Also, on the agenda today are visits to Moreton-in-Marsh with its broad High Street, lined with elegant 17th and 18th century Cotswold stone buildings, reflecting the town's long history as a centre for trade and commerce. There is a welcoming atmosphere as well as plentiful galleries, tea rooms, delis and specialist shops. Then onto Stow-on-the-Wold at nearly 800ft, it is the highest of the Cotswold towns, located on the Roman Fosse Way. It had a special importance in the English Civil War, when the last battle was fought close by in Donnington back in 1646. St Edward's Church, was used as a prison for the defeated Royalist troops and some of the damage sustained at this time can still be seen today. 

HIDCOTE MANOR GARDEN, CHIPPING CAMPDEN & BROADWAY
World famous Hidcote is an arts and crafts inspired garden with intricately designed outdoor spaces in the rolling Cotswold hills created by celebrated horticulturalist and plant collector, Major Lawrence Johnston. Covering an area of over 10 acres, the garden is a network of 'outdoor rooms' which reveal a different atmosphere or new vista at every turn. NB There is uneven terrain across much of the site but there is a step free route through part of the garden. Today also features a visit to the quaint, picture-postcard village of Broadway, at the base of the Worcestershire hills. Broadway today remains as it has done for centuries; a charismatic spectacle of rolling wolds, overlooking a gathering of ancient honey coloured limestone period buildings with orderly horse chestnut trees lining the grass-fringed verges of the historic 'broad way' High Street. Also make a stop in one of the most beautifully preserved towns in the Cotswolds, Chipping Campden. Founded as a planned town in the late 12th century, its original layout can still be traced along the High Street, which follows the line of an important medieval trading route. The town takes its name from the old word "chipping," meaning market, reflected in the Market Hall, built in 1627 for the sale of cheese, butter, and poultry.

DAY 4 (JUNE) - After breakfast, it's time to head homeward with a final stop in Cirencester, the 'Capital of the Cotswolds' with ancient honey coloured stone buildings in picturesque narrow streets. With many happy memories head back to interchange and onward to your hometowns.

DAY 4 (AUGUST) - After breakfast, it's time to head homeward with a final stop in ever popular Stratford-upon-Avon with its quaint streets, individual shops, lovely riverside walks as well as its Shakespeare connection.
