INCLUDED EXCURSIONS
Loch Lomond Scenic Drive
Just a short drive from the hotel today to arrive in Balloch, a charming village located at the southern edge of Loch Lomond.  Your driver may be able to offer you an optional one-hour circular cruise of Loch Lomond's South basin to enjoy views of the magnificent Ben Lomond (subject to availability and weather conditions - details available locally). Alternatively, stay on land in Balloch to browse the Loch Lomond Shores shopping complex with its mix of high street brands and boutique shops. There are a couple of cafes (in Jenners/House of Fraser Department Store and Caffe at the Shores) and there is a loch-side boardwalk and woodland walking paths if you fancy a stroll. After time at Loch Lomond Shores head north to Luss, the pretty conservation village situated on the western shore of the loch. With its prim, identical sandstone and slate cottages and its narrow sandy, pebbly strand, the village became the setting for the successful TV soap High Road.

Glasgow
A relaxed start today before heading to Scotland's biggest city, Glasgow, on the River Clyde. Known for its culture, style and friendly locals, vibrant Glasgow offers a blend of internationally acclaimed museums and galleries, stunning architecture, fantastic shopping and a diverse array of restaurants and bars. The architecture is an attraction in itself with impressive Victorian mansions and public buildings together with the sublime masterpieces of one of the city's most celebrated sons, the legendary Charles Rennie Mackintosh. Your driver may be able to offer an optional guided city tour. You may be interested to visit the excellent Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum with its first-rate art collection and diverse objects from around the world or the award-winning Riverside which holds an excellent ensemble of historic vehicles (both free entry). Take a look at Visit Scotland's website for other FOC attractions https://www.visitscotland.com/things-to-do/attractions/free/glasgow. Shoppers should head to Glasgow's 'Style Mile', largely pedestrianised, it incorporates the three main shopping streets and over 1,500 shops from Argyle Street to Buchanan Street, and to the unpronounceable Sauchiehall Street (so-key-hall).

Day 4 - It's been fun but after a farewell hot toddy, it's time to head south, back to interchange and homewards, with many happy memories. Back to top
