Itinerary

Day 1 - After joining your holiday coach, head to Wales with a refreshment stop en-route and then continue to your resort hotel in beautiful Llanberis. Welcome tea/coffee on arrival. DBB plus traditional Christmas Day lunch with all the trimmings

There will be some entertainment each evening (mix of singer, magician, quiz etc.)

Day 2 - A morning scenic drive through the Snowdonia National Park takes you to attractive Betws-y-Coed, the Gateway to Snowdonia with a distinctly Alpine feel. The magical setting is enhanced by the dense Gwydyr Forest which surrounds the town. There is a diverse range of cafés, bistros, restaurants and pubs as well as independent shops retailing in crafts, clothing, gifts, and local homemade produce. Return to the hotel for a light afternoon tea served with biscuits, cakes and pastries. Dinner this evening and entertainment. Midnight Mass shown on TV with mulled wine.

Day 3 - Merry Christmas - Enjoy a leisurely morning before your traditional Christmas day lunch with all the trimmings, the King's speech and afternoon tea/coffee and Christmas cake. A light cold buffet dinner will be available this evening.

Perhaps a little constitutional after lunch - Llanberis enjoys a wonderful lakeside location at the foot of Snowdon, ideal for a winter stroll. The Ceunant Mawr Waterfall is one of the most gorgeous easy access waterfalls in Snowdonia - approx. 1 mile walk (mostly flat) from the centre of Llanberis to the lower falls. The ruin of Dolbadarn Castle overlooking the waters of Llyn Padarn is a 10-15 minute walk from the hotel

Day 4 - Boxing Day - It's Panto day today! Oh yes it is!  Who doesn't love the panto with its outlandish costumes, quick witted comedy and audience participation. On return to the hotel a light afternoon tea with biscuits, cakes and pastries will be served. Time to relax before your farewell 3-course served dinner this evening.

Day 5 - After breakfast, check out and bid farewell - heading for interchange and onward to your home towns.

Before 90 days - Loss of deposit.
89 days to 8 days - 70% loss
7 days to departure day - 100% loss

Please note that the final balance is due earlier than usual at 90 days before travel for this tour.

Accommodation

The Royal Victoria Hotel, Llanberis 3 Star

The Royal Victoria Hotel is cradled between two lakes Llyn Padarn and Llyn Peris as well as the Welsh mountains - the location is quite simply breath taking.

The Snowdon Mountain Railway (closed in December) is located directly opposite the hotel.  

All bedrooms are en-suite with modern décor, telephone, TV, tea / coffee making facilities plus hairdryer. Lift to most floors. Please note: Single Rooms without supplement are small true single rooms. Double rooms for single occupancy are strictly limited by the hotel and carry a supplement.
