When the sixties were swinging, Liverpool was the place to be. Four local lads formed 'The Beatles' and the rest is history. This weekend break offers you a trip back in time to the heady days of the Merseybeat era and to sample the unique atmosphere of Liverpool today which was given coveted UNESCO City of Music status in 2015. Take a ferry cross the Mersey, enjoy a city tour with a musical twist, an included visit to Beatles Museum plus plenty of free time to explore this great heritage city under your own steam. Your Itinerary

Day 1 - After joining your holiday coach, head northwards stopping for the opportunity of lunch or refreshments. Continue to your hotel in Liverpool to arrive late afternoon. 3 nights DBB

Day 2 - This morning board a Mersey Ferries River Explorer Cruise (50-minutes), a 'must do' experience for any visitor to Liverpool. Learn about the fascinating history of the River Mersey and enjoy incredible views of the UNESCO World Heritage Waterfront and city skyline from the deck of the famous Mersey Ferry. Afterward a local guide will take you on a city tour with a twist exploring Liverpool's musical heritage, passing by many of the places associated with The Beatles - from Penny Lane to Strawberry Fields. 

Day 3 - Today enjoy the included visit to the award-winning Beatles Story, an incredible immersive journey which tells the story of how four young lads from Liverpool were propelled to the dizzy heights of fame and fortune from their humble childhood beginnings. Replicas of the Casbah, Mathew Street, Abbey Road Studios and The Cavern authentically capture the early '60s, allowing you to personally experience the very places that helped make The Beatles the greatest band in the world. This gem of a museum also features over 1000 rare and authentic items of memorabilia. Afterward, you will have the remainder of the day at leisure to explore this vibrant city at your own pace.

Day 4 - After breakfast depart for the journey home, arriving back early to mid-evening. Back to top

Situated on the edge of the city's commercial district, opposite the Royal Liver Building, this 4* hotel is within walking-distance of some of Liverpool's best attractions. The impressive 12-storey hotel forms part of the city's stunning skyline and has 225 spacious bedrooms with TV, complimentary WiFi as well as tea / coffee making facilities. The Vu Bar and Terrace offer great views of the city and the Vista Restaurant overlooks the Royal Liver Building and River Mersey. There is a lift.
