Harrogate Spring Flower Show is the first major event in the UK gardening year, with everything you need to plan and plant the perfect outdoor space. The show is perfect for garden lovers with beautiful show gardens and a vast range of plants. A scenic drive through the magnificent Yorkshire Dales National Park rounds off this super little Spring getaway!

Day 1 - After joining your holiday coach, heading northwards pausing for refreshment opportunities. Continuing on to your hotel to arrive late afternoon for 3 nights. Welcome tea / coffee on arrival. DBB

A visit to the major independent horticultural show - Harrogate Spring Flower Show should be on every gardener's to-do-list. Have the pick of the crop from the wonderful array of plant nursery displays. You can expect a fabulous exhibition of flower arranging and floristry, with stunning individual works of art as well as large-scale displays. Explore the magnificent show gardens, exhibits and demonstrations of many national plant societies and admire the vast array of fruit and vegetables grown for the competitions. A truly inspiring day for visitors of any age (entrance included).

Designated a national park in 1954 (further extended in 2013), the Yorkshire Dales is known for its outstanding scenery, unspoilt countryside, diverse wildlife habitats and a rich cultural heritage. The Yorkshire Dales has many moods - it can be wild and windswept or quietly tranquil with valleys full of meadows, drystone walls and barns. Take a scenic drive of discovery via Pateley Bridge, a lovely little Dales town on the River Nidd, and then onto pretty Grassington, the friendly and picturesque village in Upper Wharfedale. Head back to Harrogate via Skipton, the charming Dales market town with its famous 900 year old castle, romantic ruined priory and historic cobbled High Street,
Day 4 - After breakfast depart for your journey home. A stop en route at Stamford, known as 'The Finest Stone Town in England'. Be sure to visit Barn Hill, a well-preserved and picturesque cobbled stoned street nestling behind All Saints' Church, that provided key locations for the BBC TV series Middlemarch. Travelling homewards, arriving back at your local joining points early to mid-evening.
Cedar Court Hotel Harrogate
This 4* hotel is situated in a beautiful setting in a quiet area of town overlooking 200 acres of the pristine Stray parkland, approx. 15 minutes' walk from the centre of Harrogate. The Cedar Court Hotel dates back to 1671 and was Harrogate's first hotel. The guestrooms are traditionally furnished and feature TV, hairdryer and tea / coffee making facilities. Public areas are open plan with a traditional style bar. Evening meals are taken in a characterful private dining room. Please note that there are no rooms with walk-in showers. There is a lift as well as ground floor rooms.
