Harrogate Autumn Flower Show is a major event in the UK gardening year, with everything you need to plan and plant the perfect outdoor space. The show is perfect for garden lovers with beautiful show gardens and a vast range of plants. A new venue for 2022 sees the show move to spectacular Georgian Newby Hall. A scenic drive through the magnificent Yorkshire Dales National Park rounds off this super little Autumn getaway!

Your Itinerary

Day 1 After joining your holiday coach, enjoy a scenic drive to the Old Swan Hotel, one of the most famous hotels in Harrogate, with a history going back nearly 200 years. 3 nights DBB

Day 2 - 3 At leisure in Harrogate with two included excursions.

Yorkshire Dales National Park
Designated a national park in 1954 (further extended in 2013), the Yorkshire Dales is known for its outstanding scenery, unspoilt countryside, diverse wildlife habitats and a rich cultural heritage. The Yorkshire Dales has many moods - it can be wild and windswept or quietly tranquil with valleys full of meadows, drystone walls and barns. Take a scenic drive of discovery via Pateley Bridge, a lovely little Dales town on the River Nidd, and then onto pretty Grassington, the friendly and picturesque village in Upper Wharfedale. Head back to Harrogate via Skipton, the charming Dales market town with its famous 900 year old castle, romantic ruined priory and historic cobbled High Street, 

Harrogate Autumn Flower Show at Newby Hall & Gardens
It's all aboard to Newby Hall, a beautiful Georgian country house set in spectacular gardens. Newby Hall is a jewel in the crown of North Yorkshire and one of the country’s finest 18th Century stately homes with award-winning gardens. This is a new venue for the Harrogate Autumn Show 2022  access to Newby’s gardens is included, complete with some of Europe’s biggest herbaceous flower borders and 15 stunning garden ‘rooms’. The autumn show will also feature wonderful indoor floral installations, inspired by the interiors of this beautiful18th Century house (free flow through the ground floor of the house). Most paths through the gardens are shallow pea gravel

Day 4 After breakfast depart for your journey home. A stop en route at Stamford, known as 'The Finest Stone Town in England'. Be sure to visit Barn Hill, a well-preserved and picturesque cobbled stoned street nestling behind All Saints' Church, that provided key locations for the BBC TV series Middlemarch. Travelling homewards, arriving back at your local joining points early to mid-evening.

This lovely old 4* historic hotel has picturesque lawns and gardens, and is just a short stroll to the centre of town and its many attractions.  It combines Victorian splendour with contemporary luxury. From its revolving doors to its famous glass-ceilinged Wedgwood Restaurant, The Old Swan Hotel Harrogate exudes romance and mystery. It was to this tranquil haven that the mistress of crime-writing, Agatha Christie, famously disappeared in 1926, resulting in a public furore over the 11 days that she could not be traced. Guests can enjoy 136 contemporary-styled bedrooms with all the modern amenities you would expect such as TV and tea/coffee making facilities. There is a lift to all rooms as well as an outdoor terrace and lawned gardens.
