2022 Dutch Bulbfields & Keukenhof - 4 & 5 Days
Calling all flower enthusiasts and green fingered gardeners! Knowing that you have missed out on two years’ worth of dazzling Dutch displays of tremendous tulips, divine daffodils and handsome hyacinths, you are sure to appreciate Springtime in Holland all the more. You can expect rainbow carpets of flower fields blooming into a beautiful patchwork quilt of colour. You can tip toe (or skip or waltz!) through the tulips at the world famous Keukenhof Gardens, the breath-taking park which opens for just eight weeks a year to show off the millions of bulbs planted annually. Your tulip time holiday stays very close to Keukenhof Gardens itself and is well situated for a visit to the heart of the bulb growing region. All holidays include a day out in Amsterdam and Volendam.
PLEASE NOTE: Price is per person and based on two people sharing a twin/double room. Single room supplements and upgrades are not included.
DAY 1 - From your chosen joining point your feeder vehicle will take you to the designated interchange point where your holiday begins. A morning departure to Dover for the short sea ferry crossing to Calais. Then travel through Belgium before entering Holland and on to your holiday hotel, arriving in the early evening. DAYS 2 - 3 (or 4) At leisure in Holland with TWO INCLUDED excursions.
Bulbfields & Keukenhof Gardens
After breakfast tour around the glorious bulbfields of Holland where the continuously drained soil of the polders creates perfect growing conditions for the tulip bulbs which love well-drained but moist soil. Enjoy an included visit to Keukenhof Gardens, the Dutch Master Growers showpiece which rightly draws visitors from all around the world to marvel at this spectacular sight. Over 7 million flower bulbs are planted every year and the gardens and pavilions comprise a fantastic collection of tulips, hyacinths, daffodils, orchids, roses, carnations, irises, lilies and more – an overwhelming spectacle of colour and perfume. During the day there will be the opportunity for an optional guided cruise on the Kaag lake.
Volendam & Amsterdam
Visit the quaint and picturesque old fishing village of Volendam and the former Zuider Zee where many of the local inhabitants still wear the traditional costumes. You will stop by a local clog maker and a cheese farm and then continue onto Amsterdam, with its compact centre packed with art museums full of masterpieces, historic scenic canals, atmospheric lanes, crooked merchant buildings, house boats, bikes and inviting cafes. You will have the opportunity of an optional guided city tour.
OPTIONAL EXCURSION (5 DAY ONLY)
Haarlem & Zandvoort
Not far from Amsterdam but well worth a visit is the beautiful, historic city of Haarlem, the gastronomic capital of the Netherlands. Haarlem really does have everything - from hidden courtyards of a bygone age to trendy concept stores; from medieval churches to welcoming terraces overlooking the water. Full of monuments, cobbled streets, grand museums, fine cafes, shops, water, squares and parks, Haarlem is a delight. Then it’s off for some sea air in popular Zandvoort, considered one of Holland’s biggest beach resorts with long stretches of pristine sand and coastal dunes. It is also home to Circuit Park Zandvoort, the F1 race track which will be in full preparation for the Dutch Grand Prix due to take place at the end of April / Beginning of May (exact dates TBC).
RETURN DAY - After breakfast, depart for Calais and the ferry crossing to Dover, arriving home during the evening.Back to top

This large, contemporary 4* hotel, whilst located close to Amsterdam airport, benefits from the green surroundings of the Haarlemmermeerse Woods. It offers an on-site restaurant and bar, the Brasserie Courtyard, plus a fitness centre. Modern guestrooms are spacious with sound-proofing, air-conditioning, complimentary WiFi, iron / ironing board, hairdryer, tea / coffee making facilities and a separate bath and shower.
The hotel has a lift and singles are double / twin rooms for sole use. There is a skittles alley, some casual dining outlets and a small museum of the region (weekends only / entrance may apply) within walking distance of the hotel.
