This fabulous tour stays in the heart of historic Waterloo town and also includes a visit to the magnificent Memorial 1815, where Napoleon was vanquished by the Duke of Wellington. Also visit the magnificent haven of forests and rivers at the unique 250-year-old Annevoie Water Gardens - a blend of French-style splendour, English romanticism and Italian refinement. A botanical dream not to be missed!
In April, join us for the truly magical VENETIAN FESTIVAL when over 100 people in full glittering carnival costumes parade, prance, dance and meander through the gardens.

DINANT & ANNEVOIE WATER GARDENS
Head south today with a stop first in striking Dinant with its unique steep rock face location along the banks of the River Meuse - a must for any visitor to the region. The skyline is dominated by the imposing fortress that sits high above the town and the town itself boasts the marvellous Gothic Collégiale Notre Dame de Dinant with its impressive onion-shaped dome. One of Dinant's famous sons is Adolphe Sax, inventor of the saxophone and don't miss the giant saxophones that line the Charles De Gaulle bridge. Then it's on to experience 'liquid magic' at the Gardens of Annevoie - water, water everywhere…ponds, lakes, jets and waterfalls. No mechanical or electrical pump here: water flows freely thanks to a clever use of the lie of the land. The dozens of waterfalls and fountain rely simply on gravity.
VENETIAN FESTIVAL - APRIL ONLY
During the Venetian Festival, over 100 ‘Costumes’, actors clad in richly decorated Venetian costumes and masks, stroll through these sumptuous 18th-century water gardens. The Grand Parade takes place from 14.30 – 16.00. The splendour of the colourful dresses and suits really stand out against the lush green setting of Annevoie.
