No other area in Britain offers such contrasting scenery as that found in the glorious Peak District National Park which combines steep limestone valleys, dramatic gritstone ridges, stark moorland plateaus and ancient stone villages. A day out at Chatsworth House, the ‘Palace of the Peak’ is included for you to admire the lavish house and explore the ornamental gardens

Day 1 - After joining your holiday coach, enjoy a scenic drive north with comfort stops on the way. Welcome drink on arrival and 4 nights with breakfast and dinner included.
Days 2 - 4 At leisure with two included excursions and two optional excursions.
Follow in the steps of Mr Darcy with a visit to Chatsworth House, home of the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire, set on the banks of the River Derwent. It has been passed down through 16 generations of the Cavendish family, was originally built in 1555 and is set in 1000 acres of parkland. You may recognise it as the film location for Pemberley in the 2005 television adaptation of Pride and Prejudice. Explore the historic house, discover fascinating stories and enjoy one of Europe's most significant art collections. The 105 acre garden is well worth a look too with giant water features, sculptures, flowers and beautiful views.
PEAK DISTRICT - BAKEWELL & BUXTON
Founded in 1951, the Peak District was England's first national park with 555 sq miles of glorious open English countryside.It is a natural playground of different sights and places to visit from old churches to the stunning natural wonder of the peaks, caverns and rocky gorges. Start your day in gorgeous Bakewell, birthplace of the delicious Bakewell pudding, and boasting charming honey-coloured buildings and a medieval bridge over the River Wye. Onto the elegant spa town of Buxton with its stunning ornamental gardens and world-famous Georgian and Victorian architecture. It is not surprising the town is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the region. Take a stroll through the lovely Pavilion Gardens and enjoy Buxton's wealth of independent shops, cafes, bars and restaurants.
SHEFFIELD BOTANICAL GARDEN
The excellent Sheffield Botanical Garden is just 10 minutes' drive form the hotel. So why not enjoy a short visit to this restoration project funded through the Heritage Lottery Fund's Urban Parks Programme and completed in 2005. A central feature of the Gardens are the sweeping lawns with mature trees which create a setting for the restored linear glass Pavilions. The splendid Gatehouse entrance arch and tearooms are complemented by formal Victorian bedding displays. Owned by the Sheffield Town Trust, the Trust ensures free public access. Return to the hotel after the visit to enjoy the excellent facilities or carry on to Chesterfield (see below).
CHESTERFIELD - Half day
Visit the surprising market town of Chesterfield to see the astonishing 68m crooked spire that rises atop St Mary and All Saints Church. How did it get its twist? Chesterfield's Victorian Market Hall is open daily and following a multi-million pound facelift in 2013 now boasts a glass roof. Chesterfield Museum tells the story of the town from its Roman beginnings to the building of the 'Crooked Spire' church (entrance FOC).
Day 5 - Homeward today with lots of memories and with comfort stops on the way to interchange. You can expect to be back in your local towns mid-evening.
