2021 - 4* Beautiful Bardolino On Lake Garda
Located on the Eastern shores of Lake Garda, the lovely town of Bardolino is one of the prettiest and atmospheric on the lake, surrounded by breathtaking scenery. It is one of the best-known resorts, due mainly to the wine made from the grapes grown in the surrounding hillsides. The resort is one of the more popular destinations on the southern end of the lake, located just south of Garda Town. This spectacular 4* holiday staying at a Crusader favourite hotel features THREE included excursions including a wonderful day out to fabulous Venice. An excursion to Romeo & Juliet's Verona is also included.

DAY 1 - Travel to Dover for the short sea crossing to Calais. Continue into France and your overnight hotel stop in Troyes. BB
DAY 2 - Relax and watch the rural French scenery unfold on the way to Switzerland for a one night stay - clear air, mountains and lakes awaits. Overnight in Engelberg with tonight's included dinner in a nearby hotel, a few minutes' walk away. DBB
DAY 3 - After a leisurely breakfast continue through Alpine Switzerland and into Italy en-route to Bardolino, your holiday base for the next five nights. Your holiday price includes a welcome drink and porterage on arrival plus afternoon tea and cakes daily (16.00 - 17.00). DBB
DAY 4 – DAY 7 – At leisure in Bardolino with three included excursions. Bardolino is one of the top destinations selected by visitors to Lake Garda and town is just a short stroll from the hotel along the lakeside promenade.
Venice, City of Canals
An early start today for the drive to Venice, the ancient and famous city of canals to view St. Mark’s Square, the Doge’s Palace, the Bridge of Sighs and much, much more. From the coach park there you will make your way into Venice by private boat. To add to a truly memorable day, your tour manager may also offer an optional guided tour of Venice and optional gondola ride. Full details available locally. (NB: Due to the historic nature of the city, this excursion is not suitable for wheelchair and mobility vehicle users).
Malcesine and Scenic Lake Drive
A scenic drive today as you head north along the lakeside to Malcesine, nestled in the shadow of Monte Baldo. Malcesine is one of the most attractive towns on the whole lake and has, for decades, drawn writers and artists with its picture perfect setting and historic castle. For a spectacular view over Lake Garda there is nothing to beat a ride on the Malcesine cableway (costs not included) which rises to 1600 metres in just ten minutes to the top of Monte Baldo.
Romeo & Juliet's Verona
Journey to the magnificent old city of Verona, famous for Shakespeare's 'Romeo and Juliet'. Bordered on three sides by the River Adige, the streets of Verona's ancient centre follow the layout of the Roman city. Upon arrival you may either explore the city on your own or join the optional guided city tour by coach and then on foot. Full details available from your Tour Manager.
Lake Cruise to Sirmione
The most relaxing way to enjoy Lake Garda is by boat and your tour manager will provide full details of a trip to Sirmione, one of Garda’s most popular resorts. Sirmione juts out several miles into the southern waters of the lake on a narrow peninsula of cypress and olive groves.
DAY 8 - It’s farewell to Lake Garda today as you head northwards towards France and your final overnight hotel. BB

This outstanding 4* hotel is surrounded by beautiful gardens and is just a short walk to the old centre of Bardolino along the lakeside promenade. All 260 en suite bedrooms have lift access, satellite TV and hairdryer as well as complimentary tea/coffee facilities. There is an indoor pool as well as a large outdoor swimming pool with a sun terrace, sun beds and pool bar. Guests can enjoy the live piano bar on some evenings.
