Itinerary
Itinerary
Day 1: We will travel to Gunton Hall Coastal Village arriving in time to relax and enjoy our surroundings before it is time for dinner.
Day 2: This morning we enjoy a leisurely coastal coach drive to the popular seaside resort of Great Yarmouth. A wonderful seaside resort since 1760, Great Yarmouth has many historical connections, and once one of England's richest towns and most important naval centres. You will find Great Yarmouth is now a mix of old and new, the delights of the seafront, the bustling market and shops alongside the heritage of the Old Quay, the Nelson Museum and the medieval rows. This seaside resort makes a wonderful day out!
Day 3: Today we make our way to Lowestoft located on the most easterly point of the British coast. This once flourishing fishing port is renowned for the quality of its wide, golden sandy beaches, with the Victorian garden behind, this provides the perfect surrounds to one of the East Coast's highlights. Lowestoft also offers a unique shopping experience; the main High Street provides an opportunity to shop in one of the most interesting and historical parts of the town. In the afternoon we will travel to Southwold, a charming north Suffolk seaside town on the Suffolk Heritage Coast. Situated on a hill that gently rises from the Blyth Valley the town is virtually an island. It is surrounded by the River Blyth to the south and Buss Creek to the north, this has resulted in limited town development helping to retain Southwold's old world charm. In Southwold's town centre there's a great selection of interesting and independent shops selling crafts, gifts and antiques.
Day 4: Today will be a free day to enjoy Gunton Hall to its fullest.
Day 5: We will depart after breakfast and begin our journey home.
