Saffron Walden Market & Two Course Lunch
Saffron Walden Market & Two Course Lunch | Crosskeys Day Trip
Saffron Walden is a picturesque medieval town situated in North West Essex. It has a rich heritage of old buildings reflecting its wealth as a rural market town. The market has been held here since 1141; shoppers can enjoy browsing and buying goods from a number of different stalls. Jamie Oliver, a big supporter of local markets and market shopping, lives locally and patronises a number of the food stalls on this outstanding market. In the afternoon, we head to The Cricketers at Clavering, a delightful 16th century English Country Inn with award winning food and a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. Lunch will be expertly prepared on the premises by their team of creative and talented chefs led by Head Chef Justin Greig, who is passionate about using excellent seasonal, local and organic produce where possible.
