Itinerary
Day 1: We make our way northwards and arrive at our hotel in time for dinner.
Day 2: This morning we travel to Manchester, the world’s first industrial city and now a cultural paradise. With a vast array of museums including the Transport, People’s History, Science and Industry museums there is something for everyone. A city steeped in sporting glory perhaps take a tour around England’s National Football museum or visit the world famous Old Trafford. In the afternoon, we take the short journey to Salford Quays, Greater Manchester’s unique and exciting waterfront destination bursting with creativity and culture and home to one of UK’s most visited arts attractions - The Lowry and award winning Imperial War Museum North. There is also amazing shopping that will delight any shopaholic. With famous shopping centres such as Manchester Arndale and The Trafford Centre, or for that extra special something, visit the boutique districts around King Street and Spinningfields, you really will be spoilt for choice. Manchester also offers a vibrant bar and restaurant scene.
Day 3: Today we visit RHS Bridgwater, an oasis of calm and heritage landscape. Opened in 2021, this beautiful 156 acre garden makes for a superb horticultural experience as we explore its wonders including the maze-like Worsley Welcome Garden, the Paradise Garden, the Chinese inspired four season themed Streamside Garden, the Kitchen Garden and the Weston Walled Garden to name but a few. There are refreshments venues within Bridgwater where you can rest and relax with coffee and cake or something a little more substantial.
Day 4: After breakfast at our hotel, we will depart for home.
