Itinerary
Day 1: We travel to Herefordshire arriving in plenty of time to relax before dinner.Day 2: Our excursion today takes us to the City of Hereford. Hereford straddles the banks of the River Wye with a friendly market town atmosphere. It is a walled city where the street plan is almost exactly as it was in medieval times. The modern city of Hereford is a treasure trove of historic buildings and artefacts, while the Old Market is an up-to-the-minute, and buzzing shopping destination. Hereford Cathedral is regarded as one of the most beautiful cathedrals in England. A visit to the Cathedral would not be complete without visiting the Mappa Mundi & Chained Library Exhibition, which draws visitors and scholars from across the world. The Hereford Mappa Mundi is the largest medieval world map to survive and the Chained Library holds over 1,500 rare books.
Day 3: Today we spend at leisure. The hotel has plenty of activities on offer, whether you fancy something energetic, a leisurely walk in the beautiful gardens, or a cup of coffee and a good book, it is all here to enjoy!
Day 4: After breakfast, we will depart Holme Lacy and make our way home.
