Columbia Road Flower Market is famous for being one of London’s oldest and most beautiful flower markets, offering the best quality plants and flowers at amazing value. Every Sunday between 08:00 and around 15:00 Columbia Road overflows with bucketsful of beautiful flowers, with Market traders lining the street selling flowers, houseplants, herbs, bulbs and shrubs.It’s a riot of colour and fragrance – and the perfect way to start your Sunday. To make sure you have the opportunity to purchase the best flowers on offer we arrive at the market mid-morning, so we have a relatively early start.
In the adjoining roads there are an abundance of independent businesses; antique shops, English & Italian delis, vintage clothes stores, small art galleries and a variety of cafes.
In the afternoon we head to Spitalfields Market. Nestled in the cobbled streets between Brick Lane and Bishopsgate, visitors will discover an array of themed markets alongside boutique fashion design and lifestyle stores, distinctive bars and coffee shops. Whether looking for a gift, a unique treasure for the home, a new outfit or accessory, Spitalfields is the place to find it!
