Itinerary
Itinerary
Day 1: On arrival at our hotel we will enjoy a welcome afternoon tea and drinks reception. After some relaxation a 3 course dinner will be served followed by evening entertainment.
Day 2 – Christmas Eve: This morning we will visit the medieval cathedral city of Salisbury also known as ‘the city I the countryside’. You will have time to soak up the festive atmosphere as Christmas in Salisbury is a magical time. Enjoy wandering the historic streets and browsing in the many independent shops or you may wish to visit the magnificent Gothic Cathedral or just watch the world go by whist enjoying a coffee in one of the many cosy cafés or coffee shops. Salisbury is beautiful at any time of year but at Christmas it truly sparkles!
Day 3 – Christmas Day: After breakfast you may wish to take a stroll by the sea or spend the morning with friends in the comfort of the hotel. A traditional Christmas lunch will be served in the restaurant. You will have the opportunity to watch the Queen’s speech and if you are not too full, you may wish to partake in afternoon tea. If you still have room, there will be a Gala evening buffet to enjoy followed by evening entertainment.
Day 4 – Boxing Day: This morning, after a leisurely breakfast, you may wish to join our Scenic drive through the New Forest. The New Forest became a national park in 2005 and was once a royal hunting ground for William the Conqueror. Wild ponies mooch around pretty scrubland, deer flicker in the distance and rare birds flit among the foliage. Travel through ancient woodland, open moors, heathland and genteel villages that dot the landscape; you will fall in love with the idyllic New Forest. We return to our hotel for a buffet lunch and a relaxing afternoon. There will of course be afternoon tea to enjoy and entertainment following dinner in the evening.
Day 5: After a leisurely breakfast we will begin our journey home.
