Itinerary
Itinerary
Day 1: We make our way to Blackpool and our hotel in time to freshen up before dinner.
Day 2: It’s time to switch off from it all today and do as much or as little as you wish. Perhaps take a stroll along the famous promenade or Central Pier for stunning views over the golden beaches and Irish Sea. Alternatively, perhaps just sit back, relax and watch the world go by in the hotel lounge or on the outdoor terrace overlooking the sea. After dinner this evening, we will enjoy a tour of the Illuminations by coach.
Day 3: This morning we head straight to Bury and its famous market – voted Britain’s best – where we can browse its extensive stalls in the large market hall and outside. Packed with independent traders with over 350 stalls selling a vast array of goods and produce from the latest fashions and homewares to fresh fruit and homemade pastries. Well known for Bury Black Pudding the market has long been recognised as the best place to buy it with original, low fat and vegetarian versions of this local delicacy. The town also offers stunning open spaces, delicious food and drink and excellent shopping.
Day 4: Today is at leisure in Blackpool. Maybe visit Showtown, the resort’s all-singing, all dancing museum of fun and entertainment bringing to life the best of the seaside, magic, circus, illuminations, shows and dance. There’s also the iconic Blackpool Tower with panoramic views of the resort and on clear days you can see as far as North Wales, The Lake District and the Isle of Man. Maybe enjoy some retail therapy - Blackpool’s shopping scene is as vibrant and diverse as the town itself with high street favourites, independent boutiques, charming gift shops and bustling markets.
Day 5: After breakfast, we will begin our journey home.
