Day 1: We will make our way to Devon and the Babbacombe Hotel arriving in time to freshen up before dinner.
Day 2: Today we will visit Brixham a fishing port within Torbay. In the lee of Berry Head, famous for its Napoleonic connections, its lighthouse and magnificent limestone cliffs, Brixham remains a popular resort with a rich maritime history and plenty of activities for the young and old alike. We continue our day with a visit to Dartmouth situated at the mouth of the river Dart and another beautiful and well preserved port. With its enchanting streets and scenic river location you would have to go a long way to find a town so pretty.
Day 3: Our excursion today takes us to Dartmoor; here the heather clad moorland, rushing rivers and obscure tors shapes this beautiful landscape. With picture postcard Dartmoor villages, thatched cottages and rambling lanes, this is truly an area to delight. We will visit Princetown, the highest village on Dartmoor and just about at its heart; we will continue on to Widecombe in the beautiful Widecombe Valley. With tea rooms, shops, pubs and the most gorgeous of settings, this village is one to savour as very often the wild ponies, sheep and cattle meander on the village green! The scenery surrounding the village is stunning as you come down the very steep hill, it is just enchanting.
Day 4: Today will be a day of rest and relaxation and a chance to enjoy Babbacombe. You may wish to visit their famous model village or take a bus to nearby Torquay or maybe you will prefer to just sit and relax at your hotel.
Day 5: Sadly we must say goodbye and begin our journey home.
