Great Yarmouth has been welcoming tourists since 1760, the gateway from the Norfolk Broads to the North Sea, this 15 miles stretch of glorious sandy beach has activities to keep everyone busy. Sandwiched between two piers the ‘Golden Mile’ is packed with amusement arcades, 10 pin bowling, a Sea Life Centre, crazy golf, a theatre and donkey rides, illuminated in the evening this wide promenade is a hive of activity day and night. The Pleasure Beach is the ideal way to shake off the cobwebs with over 25 rides including a traditional wooden rollercoaster and big wheel, slightly more sedate is the model village, with fantastic gardens complimenting the models.
Arriving at the picturesque waterside village of Horning we will enjoy a delightful cruise aboard the Mississippi Paddle Steamer along the River Bure, out to Ranworth Broad and back, passing lovely old thatched houses, windmills and Norfolk reed beds. Wroxham is the capital of the Norfolk Broads, it has a delightful riverbank which is ideal for a stroll, and enjoy a refreshment from one of the many cafés and bars along the way. Situated on the edge of the north Norfolk coast Cromer is a pretty resort it has a traditional pier with a theatre and lifeboat station, famous for the Cromer crab, no visit would be complete without enjoying this delicacy. Cromer’s church of St Peter & Paul is beautifully restored and for magnificent views of Cromer climb the 172 steps to the top of the tower. The traditional town of Sherringham with its flint walls and sea front boating pond has remained loyal to its heritage, with a stunning museum overlooking the sea, sharing the history of the towns past. Southwold is a fantastic seaside resort with a lighthouse, wonderful pier with a host of activities and entertainments, as well as wonderful views there is also a bustling harbour to explore. Aldeburgh’s is a thriving seaside town with a delightful high street, the town’s most famous resident was Benjamin Britten and his former home, The Red House, is now a museum.

Norfolk Broads Villages & Cruise
We take a short journey to the Norfolk Broads, calling at the Broadland Village of Horning with its green lawns sweeping down the waters of the River Bure. Once in Horning we include a journey on the ‘Mississippi Paddleboat’ that takes us along the wonderful waterways with beautiful cottages, abundance of wildlife and pleasure craft. We then continue to Wroxham, capital of the Broads.
Cromer & Sheringham
Step back in time as we head for north Norfolk to the Victorian resort of Cromer, with its pier full of tourists trying to catch the famous Cromer Crabs, traditional theatre and life boat house, its narrow Olde Worlde streets, quaint shops and cafes. A short trip along the coast takes us to Sheringham, with its traditional steam railway station, bustling market and old fashioned shops that somehow have kept their character.
