Oban has grown from a small quaint fishing village to a bustling harbour town and one of Scotland’s most visited coastal resorts.
The town itself lies in the basin of a crescent overlooked by its most famous landmark McCaig's Tower, a Colosseum-like folly built around 1900 as a monument to the McCaig family.

Known as the ‘Gateway to the Isles’, the friendly town of Oban is popular with visitors young and old as it offers plenty to entertain with top attractions including the iconic McCaig’s Tower, historic Dunollie Castle and welcoming Oban Distillery.
Mull & Iona
Journey with us to the Isle of Mull, sailing from Oban to Craignure travelling through a mesmerising stretch of the island to Fionnphort for the short ferry ride to Iona, a historic place of pilgrimage, and home to Iona Abbey.
Fort William & Glencoe
We take the beautiful journey along the Western shores and Lochs from Oban to Fort William. Occupying a stunning position Fort William lies on the shores of Loch Linnhe, in the shadow of mighty Ben Nevis. The town offers wondrous views to the west across Loch Linnhe and down Loch Eil. We also enjoy a visit to the tranquil village of Glencoe before returning to our hotel in Oban.
