Liverpool waterfront promises beauty, history, art, music and culture all in an iconic, breathtaking setting. Home to Tate Liverpool, open Eye Gallery, the Merseyside Maritime Museum and of course the world famous Royal Liver Building. For the first time in more than 100 years the Royal Liver Building has opened its doors to the public and launched a brand new guided tower tour – the Royal Liver Building 360.
Liverpool has attractions dotted throughout the city and boasts more galleries and museums than any other UK city outside of London. From the British Music Experience that tells the story of British music through costumes, instruments, performance and memorabilia to Liverpool Cathedral, Britain’s biggest cathedral!
Why not take a ferry across the Mersey, visit the Beatles Story, sit back and relax in one of the many bars and cafes or visit Liverpool One for the ultimate shopping experience.
Southport promises a traditional seaside break with something for all the family!
Often referred to as the floral capital of the North West, Southport has an array of gardens and parks bustling with colour and ornate features. Visit the Victorian Botanic Gardens with its shimmering lake winding through it, Hesketh Park boasting themed gardens and ornate fountains that have been stunningly reconstructed, or sit back and relax in Lord Street Gardens.
With 22 miles of coast to explore Southport is the ideal place to take a stroll along the sandy beaches. Home to the oldest iron pier in England and a variety of beaches filled with an amazing mix of wildlife, nature and traditional beach activities.
Southport has a host of attractions for all the family. Visit the Model Railway Village with acres of landscape and a mini rail network weaving through pretty buildings and greenery, ride the fast flues at Splash World, enjoy a game of bowling or head to the funfair at Southport Pleasureland.
Southport has an abundance of local, independent shops coupled with High Street stores and Designer shops. Explore Lord Street with its wrought iron canopies, relaxed atmosphere and its tree-lined boulevard evoking a sense of space.
