Singer-songwriter and 80s icon Holly Johnson brings a touch of Hollywood sparkle to the Yorkshire Coast as he headlines Scarborough Open Air Theatre on Friday 14 August 2026.
The former Frankie Goes To Hollywood frontman and hugely successful solo artist will take to the Scarborough stage for a spectacular night of iconic hits, joined by very special guests ABC and Heaven 17.
Holly Johnson first shot to fame as the charismatic frontman of Frankie Goes To Hollywood, the voice behind era-defining Number One singles 'Relax', 'Two Tribes' and 'The Power of Love'. Known for his distinctive vocals, bold persona and cinematic pop style, he became one of the most recognisable figures of the 1980s.
Following his departure from the band, Holly launched a successful solo career with the album Blast and hits such as 'Love Train', 'Americanos' and 'Atomic City'. Alongside his music career, he is also an internationally recognised visual artist and writer, using his platform to champion LGBTQ+ visibility and human rights.
This year, Holly celebrated the 40th anniversary of Frankie Goes To Hollywood’s debut album Welcome To The Pleasuredome with a UK and European tour, reaffirming his status as one of the most distinctive voices of his generation.
