These fascinating attractions provide a unique insight into the history of the city, offering a glimpse into the lives of people who once lived there. Take a stroll around the quaint cobbled streets, exploring the shops, museums and art galleries, before relaxing with a drink in a cosy pub.

The lovely beach and harbour are also a favourite spot amongst locals and tourists alike, with boat trips available to see the North Yorkshire coast from a new perspective. This is also one of the few places in the UK where you can see the sun both rise and set over the ocean, making the pier perfect for an evening walk! There’s lots to do in the town itself too, such as the Captain Cook Memorial Museum, Whitby Brewery and Whitby Jet Museum. If you’re a fan of walking then you’ll be spoilt for choice, with many routes in and around Whitby, exploring cliffs, woods, country lanes and beaches.
