Harrogate is a pretty and elegant spa town with a rich heritage that gives Bath a run for its money.
Nestled amongst spectacular Yorkshire countryside, the town’s springs can still be enjoyed today but it’s the grand architecture, award winning gardens and variety of stylish independent shops and classy restaurants that pulls in the visitors time and time again. With your hotel, excursions and coach travel all sorted for you, booking a coach holiday with Caledonian Travel has never been easier.
Located on the banks of the River Ouse and contained within the most complete example of medieval city walls still standing in England today, York remains one of the UK’s most popular heritage cities.
The city is inevitably characterised by its rich history which dates back over 2000 years but with modern tourist attractions and a vibrant café scene, there’s more of a cosmopolitan feel to York nowadays. When you walk around York it’s easy to see the distinctive marks which the Romans, Saxons and Vikings left on the city.
The vibrant and popular city of Leeds attracts more visitors a year than many traditional seaside resorts and as the only city outside of London with its own repertory theatre, opera house and ballet company, it’s easy to see why.
Taking a coach holiday to this cultured metropolis can be a great way to explore the many sights on offer.
