Celebrating 40 years since Ricky Ross and Dougie Vipond first formed the band, Deacon Blue will take to the Yorkshire Coast stage on Friday 10 July 2026 for a special outdoor headline show, performing their greatest hits and new favourites from their latest album The Great Western Road.
Fans can look forward to a career-spanning set including 'Real Gone Kid', 'Dignity', 'Chocolate Girl', 'Wages Day' and 'Fergus Sings The Blues' — all delivered with the warmth and passion that have made Deacon Blue one of the UK’s most enduring and best-loved live acts.
Featuring songs from The Great Western Road — the band’s most successful studio album in more than three decades — this special evening promises heartfelt singalongs, stunning musicianship and a celebration of their remarkable journey across four decades.
They’ll be joined on the night by very special guests, the brilliant Lightning Seeds, whose timeless hits such as 'Pure' and 'Lucky You' are sure to add even more magic to this summer night by the sea.
With the added highlight of two nights at The Caledonian New Southlands Hotel, including dinner, bed & breakfast and free time to enjoy Scarborough, it's a live music break that you'll talk about for sometime!
