The walled city of Chester, with its historical Rows, a 700 year old two tier galleried shopping experience with a selection of independent retailers, complementing high street stores, is a delightful history lesson. Everywhere you look there is stunning architecture, Chester Cathedral is over 1000 years old, the Height Tour is a fabulous way to discover more of the history and the opportunity to view parts of the cathedral not normally open to the public, don’t miss the Eastgate Clock, build to commemorate the diamond jubilee of Queen Victoria in 1899, it is set on a stunning open work iron pylons and features a bronze cupola. The Welsh village of Llangollen with its delightful canals and steam railway is the ideal place enjoy a refreshment while admiring the beautiful river views. Our drive along the Horseshoe Pass provides the opportunity to experience stunning scenery, with breath-taking views from the summit which is over 1300 feet high.

In the town you will find plenty of quirky boutiques and independent shops, plus stunning waterside walks and exquisite surrounding countryside, best viewed from a steam train or horse pulled canal trip.
