Blackpool

Enjoy a coach holiday to Blackpool, one of the UK’s most popular seaside resorts situated in the North West of England.

With its many visitor attractions, traditional seaside charm and award-winning beaches, it’s not surprising that so many holidaymakers visit this popular resort. Take a stroll along the promenade and discover the town’s visitor attractions, including the amusements, museums and the three Victorian piers. And of course, a trip to the seaside would not be complete without some delicious fish and chips.

Experience the iconic Blackpool Illuminations, the No. 1 free light show in the world which was founded in 1879. Today, there is around 6 miles of the most magical light displays that you could imagine.

Visit Blackpool Tower, one of Britain’s best-loved landmarks which has been attracting visitors since the 19th century. Explore the attractions within the Tower including the Blackpool Tower Circus, the Blackpool Tower Eye and the Blackpool Tower Dungeon. You can also discover the famous Tower Ballroom with its sparkling chandeliers, decorated ceilings, and sprung dancefloor, as featured on Strictly Come Dancing.

Blackpool Illuminations

Blackpool Illuminations

Although Blackpool remains a popular destination all year round, it famously springs to life September to January. The Blackpool Illuminations annual lighting extravaganza sees over one million light bulbs dazzle along the seafront for almost six miles and attracts over three million people each year.

Blackpool Illuminations started out as a small-scale decoration scheme with 10,000 lights to mark Blackpool’s first royal visit in 1912. So popular was the display that it was decided that the event should be staged every year to attract visitors to the resort after the main summer season.

It has now become an intrinsic part of British culture and has grown into one of the UK’s biggest attractions and the largest free light show in the world, attracting over 3.5million visitors annually!

So, grab your big coats and woolly hats, candy floss and sugared doughnuts, and prepare to marvel at this dazzling display of light.
