A city steeped in history, culture and attractions, Liverpool is one of the most popular city break destinations in the UK.
Liverpool's most famous sons “The Beatles” are celebrated across the city; from the exhibition in the Albert Dock to the famous Cavern Club where the lads once played, you can map out their incredible journey amongst the vibrancy and history that radiates throughout this city.
Liverpool waterfront promises beauty, history, art, music and culture all in an iconic, breathtaking setting. Home to Tate Liverpool, open Eye Gallery, the Merseyside Maritime Museum and of course the world famous Royal Liver Building. For the first time in more than 100 years the Royal Liver Building has opened its doors to the public and launched a brand new guided tower tour – the Royal Liver Building 360.
Liverpool has attractions dotted throughout the city and boasts more galleries and museums than any other UK city outside of London. From the British Music Experience that tells the story of British music through costumes, instruments, performance and memorabilia to Liverpool Cathedral, Britain’s biggest cathedral!
Why not take a ferry across the Mersey, visit the Beatles Story, sit back and relax in one of the many bars and cafes or visit Liverpool One for the ultimate shopping experience.
Lake DistrictLake District
Discover the glorious Lake District, an area of outstanding beauty with stunning scenery, abundant wildlife and cool, clear, shimmering lakes. One of the country’s favourite places for enjoying the outdoors, lose yourself in the breath-taking scenery, with a panorama of striking mountains and crags, green lush farmland, rolling fells, thriving woodland, all home to native animals and plants. Visit the Windermere Steamboat Museum or the World of Beatrix Potter where Peter Rabbit and Jemima Puddleduck come to life. St Martins Church is one of the most interesting buildings in Bowness, and the delightful web of narrow streets known as Lowside are definitely worth a look and give an insight into how Bowness was before the railway arrived.
