Anderton Boat Lift – The ‘Cathedral of the Canals’ is a giant three-storey-high iron structure on the banks of the River Weaver Navigation which lifts boats and barges from the River Weaver to the Trent & Mersey Canal.
The Peak Railway - Forming part of the old Midland Railway line between Manchester Central and London St Pancras which was closed in 1968, the preserved railway runs through the delightful Derbyshire countryside between Matlock to Rowsley.
