- Scenic journey through Royal Deeside to The Balmoral Estate - with access to Ballroom and Grounds
- Journey along the coast to Peterhead for a short visit before returning via the coast road past Cruden Bay to Aberdeen city centre for free time.
- Travel to Crathes Castle & Estate with inclusive admission -16th Century Castle & grounds including a Walled Garden
- Travel to Perth for freetime prior to continuing journey home
Please Note: In April and May the front of the castle is undergoing important maintenance and there is scaffolding in place. The entrance to the Ballroom Exhibition is not affected. For safety, there is just a narrower footpath at the front of the castle.
Crathes Castle – Standing against a backdrop of rolling hills and set within its own glorious gardens, Crathes Castle is classic Scottish tower house – and a fantastic day out for all the family. Explore this magnificent 16th-century castle, with its intricate maze of turrets, towers, oak panels and painted ceilings, set among sculpted yew trees and nature trails. wander through the historic walled garden and admire the iconic yew hedges, planted as early as 1702.
Aberdeen is rich in history from its maritime past. It's where the harbour meets the city centre and is famous for its stunning architecture and ancient charm. It’s also known as the ‘Granite City’ and is surrounded by the beautiful countryside of Aberdeenshire, with its forests, mountains and attractive coastline. The locally quarried grey granite can be found sparkling within buildings, as the sun catches the glittering mica crystals.
