Itinerary
Day 1
After being collected from your local pick-up point, we make our way North. Settle in for the journey ahead and relax while we go through stunning Scottish scenery, with comfort stops along the way. We check into the hotel late afternoon/early evening before an evening meal.Day 2
Enjoy breathtaking views as we journey around Loch Lomond. Our first stop is onto the picturesque village of Luss on the west side of the Loch. We then travel to Loch Lomond Shores for a spot of retail therapy and lunch break. This afternoon, we have a tour of Glengoyne distillery. A highland distillery on Glasgow's doorstep, Glengoyne is distilled more slowly than any other malt whisky. Warm yourselves up with a dram after the tour.Day 3
After a leisurely breakfast, we go to Edinburgh, the capital of Scotland. We have the day to explore the Christmas Markets. Enjoy delicious food and traditional crafts at the Scottish Market in St Andrew Square, pick up unique gifts at the European Market in the Mound Precinct or presents for the wee one’s in the Children’s Market, in Prince’s Street gardens. Rejoin the group for a visit to the Christmas Light Trail at The Royal Botanic Gardens. The experience transports guests into another fairy-tale-like world, sparking that magical feeling of childhood wonder to everyone who enters. The one-mile trail takes guests on a magical journey filled with festive cheer. On top of Christmas at the Botanics favourites such as the tunnel of sparkling lights, the colourful projection onto the front of Inverleith House and the captivating Christmas Cathedral.Day 4
Today we visit Glasgow. The city centre is one of the best shopping destinations in the UK and has a host of tourist attractions with countless museums, a stunning cathedral and open spaces. Enjoy the festive atmosphere of this wonderful city.Day 5
After breakfast, we bid farewell to Aberfoyle and make our return journey home.Includes
