Itinerary

Day 1

Join the coach at your local pick-up point to the delightful seaside resort of Torquay, heart of the beautiful English Riviera. On arrival, settle into your hotel and prepare for a wonderful few days by the coast.

Day 2

Today is yours to enjoy at leisure in Torquay. Stroll along the palm-lined promenade, explore the bustling harbour, browse the independent shops or simply relax and watch the world go by in one of the many inviting cafés. The choice is yours.

Day 3

This morning we travel to the charming coastal town of Teignmouth, where you can enjoy time at leisure to explore the pier, sandy beach and traditional seaside atmosphere.

Later, we visit the remarkable Kents Cavern, famed as one of England’s most accessible prehistoric cave systems. With easy footpaths and gentle steps throughout, enjoy a fascinating guided tour deep underground. In the first chamber, we are welcomed with a glass of locally produced cider before continuing through the atmospheric caverns to Bear’s Den for a tasting of delicious cave-aged cheeses.

Following the tour, enjoy a guided cheese experience where you’ll sample and rate a selection of carefully chosen cheeses — a truly unique highlight of your holiday.

Please note all paths are concrete with only 9 shallow steps half way round. There are some steep slopes but handrails are provided. Wheelchair users are restricted to the first chamber only.

Day 4

Today we journey through the wild and rugged landscapes of Dartmoor National Park. We visit the historic village of Princetown, set high on the moor, before continuing to the attractive market town of Tavistock, rich in heritage and charm. Enjoy time to explore its independent shops and historic streets before we return to our hotel.

Day 5

After breakfast, we rejoin the coach for our comfortable return journey home, taking with us wonderful memories of Devon’s stunning coastline, countryside and culinary delights.

TLH Toorak Hotel is a 3‑star hotel set within the TLH Leisure Resort complex, known for its friendly atmosphere and comfortable seaside charm. It’s often described as a “country house by the sea” thanks to its elegant décor and beautifully landscaped gardens. Guests have access to a wide range of facilities including swimming pool, sauna, steam room, bowling, pool/snooker and arcade games. There is a lift to most bedrooms.
