Itinerary
Day 1
Morning pickup from your local joining point, we make our way to Haworth. We have free time here to explore the quaint village before continuing on to Blackpool.
Day 2
Free day in Blackpool. There’s no end of attractions to visit in Blackpool – the famous Tower is home to a magnificent Ballroom, Eye, Dungeons and Circus. Also worth a visit is the zoo, sea life centre and Showtown Museum, an all-singing, all-dancing museum capturing the spirit of the amazing seaside resort.
Day 3
We start the day at Carnforth Station for morning coffee in the iconic Refreshment Room where the movie ‘Brief Encounter’ was set. Next take a look around the Carnforth Heritage Visitor Centre and enjoy a light lunch of soup and a sandwich.
Then it’s on to Leighton Hall for a house tour with time in the gardens, a bird of prey display (weather dependent) and a hot drink in the tea room before you leave.
Day 4
Today we visit RHS Bridgewater. There is a lovely range of gardens to explore, all with different themes, that have been created to bring ‘gardens within a garden’ to life by blending history with world-class horticulture.
Day 5
After breakfast, we check out of the hotel and have free time in Southport before returning home. The traditional seaside town has an abundance of independent shops and eateries amongst stunning Victorian architecture.
