Itinerary

Day 1

Morning departure from you local pickup point, we make our way to Southport arriving mid afternoon. The remainder of the day is at leisure.

Day 2

Head down the coast and enjoy an included fascinating two hour coach guided tour of Liverpool and marvel at the history, heritage and architecture of this vibrant city. Enjoy time to explore at your own pace and see the two Cathedrals and the historic Waterfront - including the Albert Dock. The Tate Liverpool, Maritime Museum and the Beatles Story are also well worth a visit.  Check out Pier Head, home to the affectionately titled 'Three Graces' and the magnificent Royal Liver Building.  Then why not 'Ferry Across the Mersey' on a River Explorer Cruise?

Day 3

A free day in the town that needs no introduction – Blackpool.  You could choose to eat Fish & Chips on the famous promenade; overlooking miles of sandy beach, take afternoon tea in Blackpool Tower or experience the thrills of the Pleasure Beach.

Day 4

Free day in Southport. From your centrally located hotel on the Promenade overlooking a lake, take time to explore the traditional and elegant seaside resort of Southport, well known for its beautiful parks and gardens. Southport Pier is the second longest and oldest iron pier in England, and a walk to the end or a trip on the pier tram offers views across to Blackpool and the North Wales coast. Stroll along famous Lord Street, with its tree-lined boulevards, wide pavements and iron canopies and a more unusual attraction, visit the British Lawnmower Museum – the only museum of its kind in the world!

Day 5

After breakfast we make our way home with a stop at Bygone Times antiques and collectibles centre set in an original Lancashire mill. From vintage clothing and furniture to collectible artwork and memorabilia from yesteryear.
