With wild landscapes and villages steeped in history, Snowdonia is a breathtaking destination at any time of the year. We stay near the town of Llanberis situated on the edge of Snowdonia National Park.
PLEASE NOTE: Price is per person and based on two people sharing a twin/double room. Single room supplements and upgrades are not included.
Morning departure from your local pickup point, we make our way to Wales, arriving at the hotel late afternoon.
We start the day on the Isle of Anglesey where we visit Llanfair PG, a large village with an even larger name - (Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch)! After a short stop, we return to the mainland along the Menai Strait to the town of Caernarfon. Wander through the town’s narrow streets, enjoy a stroll along the waterfront or visit the mighty castle.
Full day in Llandudno. Wales’s biggest seaside resort which straddles a peninsula with long sandy beaches on either side. Developed as an upmarket holiday town for Victorian visitors, Llandudno still retains much of its 19th Century grandeur; with graceful wedding cake architecture lining it’s sweeping waterfront promenade. Alongside the ‘lost in time’ charms of the British seaside (pier, promenade, Punch and Judy shows), Llandudno's main attraction is the near-wilderness of the Great Orme on its doorstep. There you will discover a striking, rough-hewn headland, offering breathtaking views of Snowdonia and it’s miles of trails.
We start the day with a visit to the National Slate Museum. Situated within Victorian workshops, the attraction includes a giant waterwheel, smithy and demonstrations. Afterwards we visit Porthmadog. The busy harbour town is full of quaint shops and is well known for its narrow-gauge railway
After a leisurely start to the day, we bid farewell to Llanberis and retrace our journey home.
Royal Victoria Hotel
