Itinerary
Day 1
Depart in the morning from your local pickup point and travel to your hotel, stopping en route at Gretna Green, famous for its romantic history and traditional blacksmith’s shop.
Day 2
Visit the Riverside Museum, home to fascinating transport and social history displays, showcasing everything from vintage vehicles to recreated street scenes. Afterwards, enjoy free time in Glasgow to explore its shops, cafés, and lively city centre at your own pace.
Day 3
This morning we visit the charming town of Moffat, known for its attractive streets and welcoming atmosphere. We then continue to Dumfries House, where you can explore the elegant estate, beautifully restored interiors, and extensive grounds, followed by an included traditional afternoon tea.
Day 4
Start the day at Rosslyn Chapel, renowned for its intricate stone carvings and mysterious history. In the afternoon, visit the New Lanark UNESCO World Heritage Site, including its award-winning visitor centre and historic mill village.
Day 5
After breakfast, begin the return journey home.
Tinto Hotel
Situated in the heart of Scotland in picturesque Lanarkshire scenery at the foot of Tinto hill, 45 minutes from Glasgow. All the bedrooms are ensuite and equipped with everything you'll need for a relaxing stay. The hotel has no lift and limited ground-floor rooms.
