Itinerary
Day 1
Join the coach at your local pickup point as we journey to Scotland with comfort stops en route.Day 2
Today we visit Drumlanrig Castle & Gardens. Discover over 600 years of family history and the many treasures on display. We include a guided tour where we hear fascinating tales of the past that bring the castle to life whilst exploring exquisite rooms filled with stunning paintings, tapestries and objects d’art. We return to Dumfries in the afternoon for some time at leisure.Day 3
We have a scenic drive through the Rhinns of Galloway to Scotland's most exotic garden. Situated at the south western tip of Scotland, Logan Botanic Garden enjoys a virtually sub-tropical climate, thus enabling plant treasures from around the world to thrive there. We return through the Galloway Forest Park and along ‘The Queen’s Way’.Day 4
Today's journey takes us past Sweetheart Abbey and along the Solway Coast to Kirkcudbright. This picturesque harbour town has a colourful blend of medieval, Georgian ad Victorian buildings and is home to some lovely artist's galleries and studios. We return to Dumfries the scenic route, round the shores of Loch Ken.Day 5
After breakfast we retrace our journey home.Includes
