The Scarborough fair collection
The Scarborough Fair Collection hosts a magnificent working collection of Vintage Cars, Steam Engines, Vintage Fairground Rides and Mechanical Organs topped off with a ‘Mighty’ Wurlitzer Organ in our spacious ballroom. We are set in the scenic grounds of the Flower of May Holiday Park, on the coast road between Scarborough and Filey.
Bump on the bumper cars, re-live a by gone era on the gallopers or take your breath away on the speedway – there is a ride for everyone at The Scarborough Fair Collection.
There is a cafe in the musuem so you will be able to enjoy a spot of lunch before setting of to Filey Bird Garden & Animal Park
Filey Bird Garden & Animal Park
We can go and meet the
friendly animals in their spacious enclosures – from Alpacas to Zebu and giant rabbits to miniature ponies.
First on the round you’ll find some of the smaller mammals including our playful meerkats, they’re always up to mischief! If the weather’s not great you can stay under cover and still watch them having fun in their heated house. You’ll also see a few more exotic species nearby, including bearded dragons, an albino corn snake, and Josie our 60 year old resident tortoise!
If you continue past the gardens, the park opens up into paddocks which house the larger animals. They love meeting visitors – especially if they see you carrying a bag of animal food - you may even be greeted with a loud bray from the donkeys Jake and Zac.
Meet Del Boy and Rodney (Trotter) the spotty Kune Kune pigs - they love a good scratch. Look out for the greedy goats; they’ll happily eat all your food, but hopefully not the bag too! Learn about our rare-breed Ouessants - the smallest breed of sheep in the world, our woolly alpacas from South America, or our Indian Zebu cattle.
