Itinerary

Day 1

Morning departure from your local pickup point, we make our way to Bakewell arriving mid morning. Take a stroll through the town and discover scenic buildings, charming courtyards and pretty streets. We continue onwards to Matlock for the afternoon before arriving at the hotel.

Day 2

We begin the day with free time in Nottingham. In the afternoon we take a short drive to the River Trent, where we board the Nottingham Princess for a relaxing river cruise with a traditional 2 course lunch. There is a choice of pork, chicken, vegetarian lasagne or a rice and stir fried vegetable stuffed pepper, served with vegetables, followed by black forest gateau.

Day 3

After breakfast we check out of the hotel and visit Belvoir Castle. The castle has featured in many small screen TV shows, most notably as ‘Windsor Castle’ in the popular series The Crown. Feel like royalty as you journey through beautifully designed rooms with Regency-style décor that transports you to a different era.
