Itinerary
Day 1
After collection from your local pick-up point, we have a scenic drive with comfort stops along the way before arriving in the afternoon for our super-fast ferry departure. Once we arrive in Belfast, we travel a short distance to our hotel in Armagh. Enjoy a delicious evening meal before settling in for your first night in Northern Ireland.Day 2
Enjoy a delicious breakfast at your own pace, today is at your leisure. With plenty of time to relax and take advantage of the hotel’s leisure facilities, you can truly begin your holiday. If you want to explore the sights and sounds of Armagh, we recommend visiting the Armagh Observatory and Planetarium which is a short 15-minute walk away from the hotel. St. Patrick’s Cathedral is another one to visit, a famous landmark for this wonderful City. Enjoy the serenity of The Mall, a tree-lined public park in the heart of Armagh, is the perfect spot for a leisurely stroll, picnic, or afternoon of people-watching. With its Victorian bandstand, charming footbridges, and well-tended flower beds, The Mall is an oasis of tranquillity amid the bustling city. Refresh before enjoying another evening meal in the hotel.Day 3
Today we have an exciting day of sightseeing and exploring where we will see magnificent scenery. We head North to Giant’s Causeway. Admire the elemental beauty of the Causeway Coast. Walk where giants fought and changed the earth at the unique and stunning Giant’s Causeway. A truly sensational experience, the journey takes you past craggy cliffs, ruined castles and up to the visitors’ centre. We have some time here to explore before rejoining the group to go for some free time in Portstewart, we pass Dunluce Castle where we stop along the way for photos! Afterwards, relax on the coach as we journey back to Armagh taking in the wonderful sights and settle in for another evening meal. Enjoy a long drink after today’s adventures.Day 4
After breakfast, we head to Banbridge. The Game of Thrones Studio Tour takes you on a journey from the conceptual stages of Game of Thrones and into the heart of Westeros where you’ll be in awe of giants and dragons, and the real Iron Throne. Whether you're a Game of Thrones fan or simply curious about how an epic award-winning TV series is made, Game of Thrones Studio Tour is for everyone. This fantastic self-guided tour takes around 3 hours with plenty of time to pause for lunch. Don’t forget to grab some souvenirs! Afterwards, we head back to Armagh where the remainder of the day is at your leisure."Whether you're a fan of the show, or want to know more about how movies and shows are made, then this is a must visit. Plenty of informative videos explaining various aspects of the production and many original costumes to view up close. All staff are friendly and informative about the show and it's stars."
Day 5
Today we are going to the beating heart of Northern Ireland – Belfast. There are so many wonderful places in the Capital to explore, The Ulster Museum, Botanical Gardens, St George’s Market, Crumlin Road Gaol, whiskey distilleries and endless eateries, bars and pubs. We rejoin the group for an afternoon visit to the Titanic Exhibition, the world’s most authentic retelling of the iconic story. The self-guided tour extends over ten interactive galleries where you discover the sights, sounds, smells and stories of the ship, as well as the people and city that made her. We later head back to the hotel for another evening of food and relaxation.Day 6
After breakfast, we head to Hillsborough Castle & Gardens. Explore Northern Ireland's royal residence, where worlds and minds meet. Stroll around 100 acres of picturesque gardens, explore the State Rooms still used today and indulge in delicious food and drink in the café. Early afternoon, we make the short journey back to Armagh to enjoy our last night in Northern Ireland and relax before our journey tomorrow.Day 7
We say farewell to Armagh and our journey home begins, taking in the final sights of this beautiful landscape.Includes
