Itinerary
Day 1
Morning departure from your local pickup point, we make our way North to Durham. Take a relaxing riverside walk, shop for gourmet treats or visit one of the numerous museums to learn more about Durham’s history.
Day 2
Travelling North to Seahouses, we embark on a 90-minute Farne Island’s cruise. We visit at the start of the breeding season when thousands of seabird’s nest on the island. Keep your eyes peeled for puffins and grey seals. In the afternoon we have free time in Alnwick.
Day 3
After breakfast, we check out of the hotel and visit Cragside. The 19th century estate is a masterpiece of Victorian architecture, with the original owner being an inventor. Illuminated by hydro-electric and powered by hydraulics, you can see many of the gadgets created for efficient modern living.
