Itinerary
Day 1
Morning departure from your local pickup point, we make our way to Lincoln. Here we have a few hours for shopping and sightseeing before continuing to the hotel.Day 2
Full day in Norwich. It’s a city with something for nearly everyone - as well as being the most complete medieval city in the UK with stunning Norman Cathedral and Castle, the city has a superb shopping district with independent boutiques and High Street favourites.Day 3
We start the day with a journey on the North Norfolk Railway which runs from the smart Victorian seaside resort of Sheringham to the Georgian town of Holt giving splendid views of the coastal scenery. It is known as the ‘poppy line’ due to the fields of poppies the line runs through. Later we visit Thursford. Marvel at the magnificent steam engines, mechanical organs and vintage fairground rides in the world’s largest collectionDay 4
After checking out of the hotel, we visit nearby Oxburgh Hall. This magical setting; with its moated gatehouse and impressive Tudor brickwork is one of the National Trust’s most beautiful houses. It dates back to 1482 when it was built by Sir Edmund Bedingfield and has been in the Bedingfield family ever since. Explore the lavish interiors and the beautifully furnished state rooms. Mid afternoon we continue our journey home.Included
