Day 2Full day in Norwich. It’s a city with something for nearly everyone - as well as being the most complete medieval city in the UK with stunning Norman Cathedral and Castle, the city has a superb shopping district with independent boutiques and High Street favourites.
Day 3We start the day with a journey on the North Norfolk Railway which runs from the smart Victorian seaside resort of Sheringham to the Georgian town of Holt giving splendid views of the coastal scenery. It is known as the ‘poppy line’ due to the fields of poppies the line runs through. Later we visit Thursford. Marvel at the magnificent steam engines, mechanical organs and vintage fairground rides in the world’s largest collection
Day 4After checking out of the hotel, we visit nearby Oxburgh Hall. This magical setting; with its moated gatehouse and impressive Tudor brickwork is one of the National Trust’s most beautiful houses. It dates back to 1482 when it was built by Sir Edmund Bedingfield and has been in the Bedingfield family ever since. Explore the lavish interiors and the beautifully furnished state rooms.
