Itinerary
Day 1
Joining the coach at your local pick-up point, we head to Windermere. On the way, you will have a comfort stop in Skipton. Mondays are Market days, grab some lunch before continuing the journey onwards to the hotel. After checking in, settle into your room before enjoying a delicious included 3 course evening meal with stunning Lakeside views.Day 2
Breakfast is served overlooking the lake. Today, you have the day to explore both the Lakeside Aquarium (which is right on our doorstep across the car park) with a return cruise to Bowness. Leave the hotel and visit the Aquarium after breakfast before making your way to the pier. From here, you have a return journey from Lakeside to Bowness, enjoy some afternoon free time before the return cruise back to Lakeside and the hotel.Day 3
Today we visit two historical and scenic towns, Ambleside and Kendal. You may choose to explore historic homes like Rydal Mount and Dove Cottage at Ambleside before heading to Kendal for the afternoon. In Kendal, there are many shopping opportunities and Olde Worlde Pubs to make for a lovely afternoon out.Day 4
After breakfast, we have a lovely excursion to Ulverston where we will have plenty of free time to explore. In the afternoon, we go to Shed One Distillery. We enjoy a distillery tour by the owners and distillers, then relax in the stylish bar with views of Ulverston’s iconic Pepperpot, while enjoying the specially created botanical-inspired Afternoon Tea. We later head to back for the hotel, calling at Cartmel for a short break. Why not indulge in a coffee and famous sticky toffee pudding at one of the quaint cafes in the heart of Cartmel.Day 5
After a leisurely breakfast, we make our way home with comfort stops.Includes
