London & Windsor
While London is the most iconic city in the UK – with its famous landmarks and a wealth of attractions and museums to keep you entertained – Windsor is a much quieter but no less amazing place to visit. The Royal Borough of Windsor is a beautiful, unique and historic destination, with plenty to see and do, excellent shopping and superb restaurants and cafes. Crowned by the stunning Windsor Castle (the oldest, and largest, inhabited castle in the world, and the Queen’s favourite weekend home-from-home), and overlooking a beautiful stretch of the River Thames, the Royal Borough has a rich mix of history, culture and fun which makes it a vibrant and welcoming place to visit.
PLEASE NOTE: Price is per person and based on two people sharing a twin/double room. Single room supplements and upgrades are not included.
After a morning departure from your local pick-up point, you’ll head down to London, where you’ll have the afternoon to explore the capital. It’s your choice what to do; why not head to one of London’s famous attractions like Madame Tussaud’s, or perhaps take in a little history and culture at one of the many museums – the British Museum is treasure-trove of historic artefacts, and there’s always something new to discover, or maybe you’d prefer the Natural History Museum and the chance to see some Dinosaurs?
You’ll re-join the coach at 6pm and continue on to the hotel.
You’ll have a full day to explore Windsor. Why not head up to Windsor Castle, family home to the British Monarchy for over 1000 years – you might even be able to say that you visited when the Queen was in residence; look out for the Royal Standard flying from Round Tower! You’ll be able to see the magnificent State Apartments and the splendour of St George’s Chapel as well as watch the Changing of the Guard! If you prefer something a little more relaxing, why not head to Windsor Great Park, where you can explore and perhaps come across a few Deer. And of course, there’s always shopping and exploring amid the independent retailers and international brands!
In the late afternoon, you’ll re-join the coach for the journey home.
