Itinerary

Day 1

Begin your holiday in comfort as you meet your coach and travel north to the port of Heysham. Here, you’ll board the ferry and enjoy a relaxing 3¾-hour crossing across the Irish Sea—an ideal opportunity to unwind, take in the coastal views, and perhaps enjoy a refreshment on board. Arriving on the Isle of Man in the early evening, you’ll be transferred to your hotel, where you can settle in and enjoy dinner.

Day 2

Today you’ll enjoy the company of an expert local guide, bringing the Isle of Man’s rich heritage vividly to life. Sit back and take in the ever-changing scenery as you journey across the beautiful Plains of Heaven to Braaid and then Knockaloe—once a World War II internment camp, now a fascinating museum offering a poignant glimpse into the island’s past.

The day continues with a visit to the House of Manannan, where engaging exhibits reveal the Isle of Man’s Viking, Celtic and maritime heritage in an immersive and memorable way. You’ll also explore the impressive Peel Castle, steeped in history and set against a stunning coastal backdrop.

To round off the day, enjoy some free time in the charming seaside town of Peel.

Day 3

Today is yours to enjoy at leisure in the island’s charming capital, Douglas. Take a gentle stroll along the sweeping promenade, perhaps relax in a seafront café, or browse the town’s selection of independent shops and boutiques.

For those wishing to explore further, Douglas offers a variety of attractions, from peaceful gardens and heritage sites to the opportunity of a scenic ride along the coast.

Day 4

Begin with a delightful journey aboard a traditional steam train to the charming seaside town of Port Erin. From here, continue to Cregneash, a fascinating open-air folk museum that offers a glimpse into the island’s traditional way of life. You’ll also visit the Calf of Man viewing point—an ideal spot to take in the dramatic coastal scenery. The afternoon takes us to historic Castletown, where you’ll have free time to explore at your own pace. In the heart of the town stands Castle Rushen, an impressive medieval fortress rich in history, along with the House of Keys, once home to the world’s oldest continuous parliament.

As the day draws to a close, enjoy a scenic return to the hotel, crossing the famous Fairy Bridge—don’t forget to greet the fairies for good luck!

Day 5

Enjoy a scenic drive as you head north towards the charming town of Ramsey, travelling via the Point of Ayre and along sections of the famous TT course—an experience that offers both striking coastal views and a touch of the island’s legendary motorcycling heritage.

You can choose to spend a full day at leisure in Ramsey or join an optional excursion to the Isle of Man Motor Museum (supplement £22 per person). Here, you’ll discover an exceptional collection of over 500 exhibits from around the world, including beautifully preserved classic cars and rarely seen motorcycles.

Day 6

After an early breakfast, it’s time to head to the port for our return ferry crossing. On arrival back on the mainland, rejoin the coach for the comfortable journey home.
