Fiercely proud of its diverse culture, fascinating heritage and folklore, the “Kingdom of Man” has a captivating story to tell, steeped in myths and legends, going back thousands of years. We visit the oldest parliament in the world, take a steam train journey, visit a medieval castle and explore more than 200 square miles of unspoilt countryside and coastline.

Morning departure from your local pickup point to Heysham for the ferry to the Isle of Man. On arrival in Douglas we make the short journey to the hotel.
Today we head north to the historic mining village of Laxey, home to the worlds’ largest working waterwheel called “Isabella”. Board the mountain railway at the “Cottage” up to Snaefell Peak, 2036ft high with time to take in the magnificent views of the island. Next, Ramsey, the island’s 2nd largest town, with time free. We return to the hotel along part of the famous TT course passing landmarks of Kates Cottage, Keppel Gate and Windy Corner.
Today is at leisure in Douglas, enjoy the islands capital with its Victorian Pier and sandy beach. You may choose to take a ride on the horse & cart along the seafront or visit the museum.
We begin the day with a journey on the IOM Steam Railway. The 16 mile journey transports you through charming countryside to Porterin, where the coach will be waiting to take you to nearby Castle Rushen, one of Europe’s most finely preserved Medieval Castles. Afterwards we take a scenic drive to Peel, famous for its kippers, castle and sandy beach. Peel is the best place in Britain to see basking sharks , regularly coming within yards of the shoreline. Return along the TT circuit over Tynwald Hill and the 1000 year old Manx Parliament.
Today we bid farewell to the Isle of Man as we make our way home.
