This is the perfect holiday for those looking for some winter cheer without travelling too far. We stay in one of the best located 3* hotels in central Harrogate, have a discounted drinks package and include daily outings to some of Yorkshire’s best loved attractions.
PLEASE NOTE: Price is per person and based on two people sharing a twin/double room. Single room supplements and upgrades are not included.
Itinerary
Day 1
Join the coach at your local pick point for the journey to RHS Harlow Carr. The beautiful winter gardens will have displays of emerging colours from early blooms and bulbs. Many of the flowering shrubs along the Winter Walk are strongly scented with their fragrances filling the crisp air. We continue onwards to the hotel in Harrogate.
Day 2
We have the morning in Thirsk. A traditional outdoor market will be held in the town centre offering fresh produce, local goods, and a vibrant community atmosphere. We return to Harrogate for the afternoon. A cream tea will be included in the hotel this afternoon.
Day 3
This morning we visit Kiplin Hall & Gardens. Built in the 1620’s as a hunting lodge, the Jacobean house is intimately presented displaying treasures and personal possessions from the four families that have owned the hall. Explore scenic walks around the lake, woodland, or parkland and stop for a light bite in the new café. Please note the upper floors of the Hall are accessed by two long shallow staircases. Unfortunately, there is no lift to these levels. On our return to Harrogate, we will make short stop in Ripon.
Day 4
Today we have a scenic drive visiting the towns of Pateley Bridge (home to England’s oldest sweet shop), Grassington and Skipton.
Day 5
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast before checking out of the hotel. We visit the nearby town of Knaresborough before returning home.

Centrally located, this 3-star hotel is just a couple minutes’ walk from Harrogate’s most popular attractions including the Turkish Baths and Betty’s Team Rooms. The hotel has a lift.
